Imagine the ethanol industry lobbying against ethanol subsidies, or labor unions fighting a jobs bill. Businesses generally also don't oppose political ministrations when they stand to benefit, yet precisely that is happening with the latest "stimulus" that U.S. Democrats hope to pass this week.
